Simon K. Niederländer
[CV] [Google Scholar] [ResearchGate] Short BioSimon K. Niederländer is a Professor of Automatic Control and Engineering Mathematics at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt. He received an M.Sc. degree in Engineering Cybernetics and a Ph.D. degree in Systems Theory and Automatic Control, both from the University of Stuttgart. He held visiting research positions at the University of California, San Diego and the National University of Singapore. He also held industrial positions as a Systems and Control Engineer at MTU Aero Engines AG and as a Research Scientist at Siemens AG. Dr. Niederländer is a recipient of fellowships from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Dr. Jürgen und Irmgard Ulderup Foundation. He is a member of SIAM, IEEE, and the IEEE Control Systems Society. His research interests include convex analysis, monotone operator theory, and dynamical systems, with applications to convex optimization. He develops analytical and algorithmic perspectives on evolution equations, focusing on convergence properties and regularization techniques in constrained and higher-order settings. News
